Good morning! everybody, While reading some old issues of Graphiti . I came across some food related facts and words which I would like to share. Julienne- cut in thin strips

Some facts In Tuscany there is a tradition of dipping biscuits into a glass of strong wine after a meal. Many sweets in India are covered by a thin layer of silver called ''Varak '' made by beating silver inside a sheep's intestine. In Assamese food Khar is Soda-bicarbonate made by burning the trunk of a Banana tree. Some items of  Lebanese Cuisine Tahini ( Sesame seeds and Olive oil) , Harrisa (chili sauce) , Khoubiz (sweet bread) , Tabouleh (salad) ,Fattoush (salad) , Baklava (sweet pastry) Baba ghanoush (egg plant ). In Udupi food Avil is fresh vegetables with coconut  yogurt, chillies and Cumin. Sous Vide is Vacuum packing and cooking slowly for hours in hot water.
