Blast From The Past

Hi I am back today I will tell you about my experience of visiting the Chhatrapati Shivaji Vastu Shanghralay
formerly known as the The Prince Of Wales Museum. I had alwayas wanted to see a museum and  my wish finally came true yesterday. As we reached  I saw a palace like building , it was the museum indeed. Just as we entered I saw a big stone with something inscribed on it my mother told me that earlier when paper was not invented people used stones as the main mode of communication. To my left was a beautifully carved ivory sculpture depicting Lord Buddha and his disciples. The room was filled with ivory and gold sculptures. We entered a room full of birds, there were flycatchers, sunbirds, orioles, cranes, kingfishers etc. I recognised quite a few birds that I may have seen in hilly or tropical areas. On the other floor we saw art galleries , articles worn by kings and queens precious stones jewellery etc. What grabbed my attention was a room full of porcelain items . We saw mughal miniature paintings , swords , daggers and other war equipment. My visit to the museum was great and I recommend all of you all to visit it.

Crytpo Knowledge

Hi! I am back after a long time, I was really busy. Today I am going to tell you all about the new book that I have recently read, its called THE DA VINCI CODE by Dan Brown. In the story our main protagonists Mr. Robert Langdon and Ms. Sophie Neveu (a cryptologist) are trying to decipher some baffling codes which they find next to the dead body of an old curator in the Louvre in Paris. The code leaves them thinking of the Fibonacci numbers and a priceless painting of a very famous painter. When they actually start solving the mystery they come across facts and truths that have been hidden for years. They are wanted for theft for murder escaping from the police they rech a friend's house where they come to know about the Priory Of Sion, they are dealing with the Opus Dei. Robert and Sophie  have to race against time to crack the mystery. I recommend this book to all who like reading about mysteries. Here's the code see if you can solve it :-

THE ENIGMA OF ARRIVAL

This is the name of a book by V.S. Naipaul, in which he describes his experience of coming to
England from Trinidad. Enigma means a mysterious situation. Today I'll tell you the enigma   of  my shifting to Mumbai due to my mother's transfer.
Till now I've heard about some places in Mumbai in the television and movies. Through them I am familiar with places like Malad , Andheri , Lokhandwala , Colaba , Worli etc.
Now that I am actually going to stay in Worli I am quite excited. But then I am very sad to leave my school friends, friends in my society and my Grandparents.
I am informed that many of my favourite filmstars stay in Mumbai. For example Vidya Balan stays in Chembur then Amitabh Bachhan stays in Juhu etc.
I am excited about my new school and my mother told me that many of my father's collegue's children study there.
Even setting up the new house is a very exciting topic for me,both me and my mother are constantly making lists of what to buy and what not to .
Marathi is a languge which I have always wanted to learn. But the best things about Maharashtra is their Pav-Bhaji and their Ganesh Chaturthi celebration.Life has suddenly become very hectic for me.

Feasting out!

Good Morning to all of you today! I 'll write about one of my South-East Asian cuisine experience. After many days we decided to eat out. My mother wanted to go to Bibi's since we had been to their earlier branch"Taazas".
It is located in an old lane in Jodhpur Park. As we entered the room it reminded me of a restaurant in Goa called "Viva Panjim". When we sat  down, a lady emerged from the kitchen, she was very charming and lively. It was the owner herself!
She suggested that we take 'Cambodian Mushroom soup' for starters.Ayam Bali(Chicken in Peanut sauce) and Oriental Fish(spicy fish with Noodles and Sesame seeds) went for the main course. As for drinks, I ordered for Apple juice with a dash of ginger and my mother , her usual Sweet  Lime soda.
It is a quaint little place. There are bookshelves with books on either side. The walls had paintings of Degas, Lautrec and Picasso. There was a boy who was looking at us so peculiarly  that it made me feel awkward.

Now the soup had arrived , it was very delectable  with flavour of lemongrass and so on. The main course was laid on the table ,seeing the dishes my mouth started watering.Ayam Bali was non-spicy , just as I wanted it to be. Oriental fish was a little tangy but tasty, noodles were just perfect. Both the dishes were fulfilling.
After our hearty repast, it was dessert time now.I ordered for Mocha Gateaux and mother asked  for Lemon passion.Mocha Gateaux is Coffee Cake with cream. It was the first home-made dessert in a restaurant I had eaten. Lemon passion was Lemon Souffle with a layer of biscuit at the base.
The whole meal was very delectable and all of us ate to our heart's content. We look forward to come here often. Bye- Bye!
